Make sure you're on the latest version of SparkRoom and a supported iOS version (iOS 17.0 or later). Fully close the app and relaunch. Restart your device if the issue persists, and contact support with your device model and iOS version if it continues.
Open the Rooms tab to see live game rooms, or the Play tab to pick a game and tap Quick Play. Tap Join to take a seat. When a question appears you have about 10 seconds to answer; after the timer the answer is revealed and scores update. Play a few short rounds, then see the final leaderboard.
Every room is text-first — camera and microphone are optional. Inside a room, tap the Camera or Mic button in the bottom controls to turn them on. The first time, iOS asks for permission. If you previously denied access, enable it under Settings > SparkRoom. When your camera is on you'll see your own preview in your seat.
On the Rooms tab, tap Create Room. Choose a game, a topic, the number of seats (2–6), and whether camera and voice are available. You can also make it private (invite-only). Then tap Create & Enter to open your room and invite friends.
Tap a player's seat in a room, or the "•••" menu on the results screen, to send a friend request. Private one-to-one chat unlocks only after your request is accepted. From the Friends tab you can message friends, send gifts, and start a voice call.
SparkRoom has zero tolerance for abuse. Tap a player's seat (or the "•••" menu on their card) and choose Mute, Report, or Block. Blocking removes them from your friends and any pending requests. Reports are reviewed by our team.
Gems are the in-app currency used to send decorative gifts (tea, coffee, soup, cake). Tap the gem badge (the "+") anywhere to open Free Gems, where you can claim 100 gems every 2 hours. You also earn gems by playing, winning, and leveling up. Gifts are decorative and don't unlock private chat.
You earn XP for every game and extra for winning. Filling your XP bar levels you up and grants bonus gems. Tap the "i" next to the XP bar on your Profile to see exactly how rewards work. The Daily Challenge on the Rooms tab gives bonus gems for winning a game.
SparkRoom can send optional reminders and room alerts. You can turn notifications on or off from the Profile tab or under Settings > SparkRoom > Notifications on your device.
