1. Service Overview
SparkRoom is a social party-game app. Players join small game rooms (2–6 seats), play short personality and guessing games, chat inside the room, and can optionally turn on their microphone or camera. When your camera is on, your own preview is shown to others in the room. By using SparkRoom, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility and Use
By using SparkRoom, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into these Terms and that you will use the app in accordance with applicable laws. You must be at least 13 years of age (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The app is intended for personal, non-commercial entertainment.
3. Community Rules
SparkRoom is a shared, social space. To keep it friendly and safe, you agree not to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or abuse other players
- Share hateful, sexual, violent, or otherwise objectionable content
- Impersonate other people or misrepresent your identity
- Spam rooms or chat, or attempt to defraud other players
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can mute, report, or block any player from a room, the results screen, or your friends list. Reports are reviewed, and we may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these rules.
4. Acceptable Use
You also agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
- Use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app
- Use automated tools to manipulate rooms, games, or rewards
5. Your Data
Your profile, game progress, gems, and social state are stored locally on your device. Profile photos you take or select are saved on your device. Camera and microphone are used for live in-room preview and voice only when you turn them on — nothing is recorded by the app. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Device Permissions
SparkRoom may request access to your camera, microphone, photo library, notifications, and (with your consent) tracking. These permissions are used exclusively for the app's room, profile, reminder, and measurement features. All permissions can be revoked at any time from your device Settings; denying one disables the related feature but does not affect the rest of the app.
7. Virtual Items & Rewards
SparkRoom includes virtual items and rewards such as gems, XP, levels, daily challenges, and decorative gifts (tea, coffee, soup, cake). These items have no real-world monetary value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Gems can be earned in the app (for example through free rewards on a timer and by playing). Gifts are decorative and do not unlock private messaging. We may adjust reward amounts, availability, and rules at any time.
8. Analytics & Marketing
SparkRoom uses third-party analytics and attribution tools (including Firebase and Adjust) to understand app usage and measure marketing performance. Your use of the app is subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies, and to your tracking choice under Apple's App Tracking Transparency.
9. Intellectual Property
The SparkRoom app, including its software, interface, game designs, artwork, branding, and design elements, is owned by SparkRoom or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Use of the app grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use it on your device and nothing more.
10. Disclaimer
SparkRoom is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted performance.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SparkRoom and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or service interruptions arising from your use of the app.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, the updated version will be reflected by the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
